Payment & Insurance FAQs
Explore our comprehensive FAQ page to find answers to commonly asked questions about our speech and feeding therapy services. Below you’ll find details about sessions, pricing, sliding scale options and how to apply. Serving Nassau County, including Levittown and the surrounding areas.
Do you accept insurance?
We are an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. Families pay us at the time of service. Many of our families are still able to receive partial reimbursement by submitting a “superbill” (a detailed invoice) to their insurance company. We’re happy to provide superbills and guide you through this process.
Why don’t you take insurance directly?
Insurance companies often limit the type, length, and frequency of therapy sessions. By remaining private pay, we can provide individualized, high-quality care that is based on your child’s needs—not insurance restrictions.
What are your rates?
- $150 per 50-minute session (in-home and within 10 miles of therapist location)
- $150 per session + $25 travel fee for appointments beyond 10 miles
- $75 per 30-minute session (when clinically appropriate, typically for younger children or families who benefit from shorter, more frequent visits).
Do you offer a sliding scale for rates?
Yes. To make therapy more accessible, we reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots each month. Rates for 50-minute sessions range from $110–$150, depending on household income and individual circumstances. Sliding scale arrangements are granted for 6 months at a time and may be renewed if needed. Families may apply by completing a short, confidential request form.
How many sliding scales spots are available?
Because we want to keep this sustainable, only a few spots are available at one time. If all are filled, families may join a waitlist until a spot opens.
How do i Pay?
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash and all major credit cards. Credit card use are subject to an additional 3% processing fee.
How do i apply for the sliding scale?
Families interested in sliding scale should complete our Sliding Scale Request From here. The form ask for household information, session preferences, and a short acknowledgment. Once submitted, our office will review your request and let you know if a spot is available.
