speech, feeding & Bilingual therapy for Schools

Long Island Speech and Feeding Therapy partners with Nassau County school districts to deliver high-quality, evidence-based services directly within the school setting. Our team understands the demands of IEP driven care, district timelines, and the importance of collaborating with teachers, staff, and families.

We bring experience in school-based speech-language therapy, feeding therapy, and bilingual evaluations in English and Spanish supporting students with a wide range of communication and mealtime needs.

What advantages are associated with school-based speech and feeding therapy?

  • Students who receive consistent, school-based therapy make faster progress when services are integrated into their daily routines and directly aligned with their IEP goals.

  • School-based feeding therapy supports students whose mealtime challenges affect their ability to participate in lunch, snack time and overall school life, addressing nutrition, safety, and social connection.

  • Bilingual speech-language evaluations conducted in a student’s home language ensure accurate diagnosis and prevent misidentification of language disorders in English Language Learners.

  • Early and consistent intervention delivered within the school setting reduces barriers to access and helps students across Long Island reach key communication and developmental milestones.
